August 17-22 in the Ukraine with my Brother Scott, then Lou joined us in Krakow from Aug 23 - 27.

Ukraine was much better than we were expecting!! Kiev's mix of interesting culture, great city squares, beautiful women, beaches right in the city make it a superb city break destination. Lviv is much more western than Kiev. Their dialect is less Russian, they speak more English they've kept their lovely historical buildings. Krakow has Europe's largest town square, largely untouched by WWII, a vibrant nite life and fascinating day trips, including the sobering Aushwitz. We ended the trip with a hike in the Tatra mountains across the border in Slovakia.
