We're in Wapping, a decent district just east of the City. We're just a few minutes from the tube and a 1/2 hour walk to work. House price inflation is so bad here that the Bank of England keeps increasing interest rates just to deter buyers. UK interest rates are already higher than any western country!! Prices went up 2.2% last month (January/04). Our area is very "neighbourhoody". One little old lady noted that our front window was slightly higher than normal and wanted to make sure everything was alright!!! Neighbours even take in our parcels for us!!
